In 1990 he was closely associated with some big festive activities during Sail Amsterdam, the most famous international nautical event of Amsterdam. He worked on the sales department and later on the legal department of an international foodservice company. Since 1996, he has been actively involved with the Amsterdam Open, an international wheelchair tennis tournament, but he also finds time for music, theatre, cooking and travel. |

name: Philip Engelen function: Financial Director Philip ( 1950 ), gynaecologist, has been several years member of the Board of Directors of a hospital, of which he was a certain time the solitary director. At the moment his main work is performing all kinds of ultrasound scans at pregnant women in his own ultrasound practice. He started to play tennis , when he was almost 50 years old and regrets very much he did not start much earlier. Since about 5 years he is the president of DDV, one of the largest tennis clubs in Amsterdam and he is also member of the Board of Supervisors of the International Tennisclub Amsterdam BV, who is running the Frans Otten Stadion. He met Elkan and Rutger, who introduced him in the Stichting Rolstoeltennis Amsterdam and they invited him this year to become a board member of the Stichting and the organisation of the Wheelchair Tennis Masters, which he accepted with pleasure. |

name: Elkan van der Reis Cohen function: Chairman SRO Elkan (1965) got off to an early and successful start in his father's business. Although the company flourished under his leadership, he decided a few years ago to make a career move to the tennis courts. He became a tennis teacher and now he is working as event manager at Laurense Tennis Academy. Elkan has also been tournament director of the Amsterdam Open for several years. He is father of Michael and Jair. |
